Hello my friend!
Ok, this one is one of my favorite subjects we have talked about yet! We dive into the important subject of ‘community’. We were created to be in community with others. HOWEVER, when we have community/friendship wounds, it can be so difficult to get back into a community or deep friendships. But there’s HOPE.
In today’s episode I share a story of something so powerful that I witnessed last night, and how beautiful it can be when community and friendship works well.
We also dive into 3 steps to take when we are struggling.
Mentions:
Galatians 6:2 “Carry one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
Psalm 32:3 “when I kept silent my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long."
James 5:16a “therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.”
A Few Good Men, Jack Nicolson said “you can’t handle the truth.” I disagree. Yes, we can Jack. ;)
Also, if you haven’t joined already, I’d love for you to join me inside the Spiritual Intentions Framework-12 Foundational Principles For Spiritual Growth When All Else Fails.
God bless you!
Much love,
Dani

Hello my friend!
Can I be real? Of course I can, thank you! I'm a bit wonky emotionally this week because of some medical tests our daughter is going through this week. In today’s episode I share a bit about a medical thing journey we have been on this last 18 months, and I'd love it if you’d pray for our daughter Makenzie. She’s amazing and I am so grateful for her and how far God has brought her in a year. It feels like we are in the 'waiting period' and would love your prayers. And as you know, waiting is never fun...so, I could use your prayers too, I'm an emotional mama. ;) This is also one of those quick encouragement episodes as well. :) I share one of my favorite quotes of all time!
Also, I just have to mention too--we hit 10,000 downloads for the Podcast over the weekend! That's a huge milestone and I just want to thank you for journeying with me through this! SO excited! :)
Quote of the week:
2 quotes this week!
“This too shall pass! It may pass like a kidney stone, but it will pass!”
“When the worst thing that has ever happened to you happens, you will realize you don’t have any reason to be afraid anymore.” —Robi Damelin. (from the book ‘Indestructible’ by Allison Fallon)
Song of the week:
“Raise A Hallelujah” Bethel Music // YouTube // Spotify // iTunes //
“I’m going to sing in the middle of the storm. Louder and louder you’re going to heart my praises rise. Up from the ashes, hope will arise… I raise a Hallelujah with everything inside of me… Sing a little louder, louder than the unbelief.”
Inspiring Scripture:
Jeremiah 31:3 “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” (a love that will last forever…)
Much love,
Dani

Hello my friend!
Welcome back to a “Quick Encouragement Sunday episode”!
Last weekend I went to a Louis Tomlinson concert with my daughter and her friend! It was incredible! If you’re thinking “Who in the world is Louis Tomlinson?”, don’t worry, I was too!
He’s a former “One Direction” (Harry Styles and others) boy bander, turned solo artist and he’s popular with girls ages 13-33. BUT, I will tell you even though I’m not in his ideal demographic, I had a BLAST at the concert! I’m sure being with my daughter and her friend were the main reason. But also, Louis has a great way of connecting with an audience and the whole room felt connected. It inspired this episode and the quote, song and verse I share. :)
Quote of the week:
"In every encounter we either give life or we drain it, there is no equal exchange.”—Brennan Manning
Song of the week:
“Don’t let it break your heart” Louis Tomlinson // YouTube // Spotify // iTunes //
“life gets hard and it gets messed up when you give so much, but it’s not enough. When the high’s too high and the low’s too low. When you love someone and they let you go. Don’t you let it kill you, even when it hurts like hell. oh, Whatever tears you apart don’t let it break your heart…You can’t do it by yourself… Whatever tears you apart don’t let it break your heart.”
Inspiring Scripture:
John 11:43 “When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to THEM, ‘take off that grave clothes and let him go!’ “
You are not alone. We need each other. I’m here for you and cheering you on.
Much love,
Dani

Hello my friends!
Ok, by popular demand—my Therapist Jim Beebe is back! If you are struggling with any difficult places in your life, Jim continues to unwrap this concept of acceptance and surrender. Not acceptance in the sense of 'approval' necessarily, but acceptance as a way of surrender and not fighting reality any more. Fighting reality is exhausting and reality only wins 100% of the time, I've been told. ;)
Jim talks about how we are living in the ‘age of anxiety’ and he dives into what he calls “the gap”—the gap between what we think our lives or specific situations ‘should be’ and what they actually are—the gap is where hurt, disappointment, regret, sadness, resentment, bitterness, anxiety and everything else negative lives at times. Closing that gap IS possible and is magical as it happens. I'm seeing it happen in my own life.
If we have been victimized in any way, our power was taken from us. Jim unpacks and explains how we get our power back, one day at a time.
He mentions The Serenity Prayer:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change
The courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference.
Other mentions:
“Small hinges swing big doors.”
Romans 7:15 “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.”
“Acceptance and how we are talking about it, is not approval necessarily. But it’s recognizing that the facts of reality are what they are. And fighting reality does not change reality.”
More conversations with Jim:

Hello my friend!
Holy moly, was I triggered last week! Dealing with judgement from others can be sooo triggering and difficult to navigate.
But the REAL trick and the more important work to get through-- is working through our own judgements about ourself.
We tend to over think these judgments and rehearse resentments towards ourself, and it’s exhausting!
But there's so much freedom when we find our way through judgement. Real joy and peace are on the other side of these judgements… it can feel like we are swimming upstream without a paddle at times though, but we all can navigate through it and find some much needed relief! You are not alone!
I also mention when we are feeling judged by God and how to deal with that, and more importantly learning to discern if it's truly His voice or not.
Gary's (my hubby) powerful quote on judgement:
(Me struggling with judgements...) Gary responded "...People are judging you, people judged you in the past, they are judging you right now and they will judge you tomorrow. LIVE YOUR LIFE! You answer to God and God alone!" --Amen. Realizing and accepting that we don't control other people's beliefs or narratives about us, is so freeing... it takes time, but wow--is it worth the mindset work, and forgiveness work to get there!
Verses mentioned:
Jeremiah 31:3 "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness."
Isaiah 49:16 “See, I have your name engraved on the palm of my hands; your walls are ever before me.”
Other mentions:
Also, I’d love for you to join me in my new course —“The Spiritual Intentions Framework—12 Foundational Principles to Spiritual Growth When All Else Fails” —these ancient practices are game changers to finding true peace, joy and freedom! And they can be fun! Spiritual Growth shouldn't be boring! :) —To learn more:

Hi friends!
Meditation is such a powerful biblical tool. Today we unpack some secrets and tools to help with our prayer practice. And we answer the question—Isn’t Meditation New Age? Yes, and no. ;) We are diving into Biblical meditation… Yes, Meditation is biblical and is one of the most powerful ways to encounter God.
Please keep in mind, when we talk about Spiritual practices, I know we all can tend to pile on the shame of “I should do more”, or “I’m not doing enough”. Try not to take the bait of self-condemnation and pile on the shame if you are struggling there.
All of these practices are intended to bring more freedom, not pile on more bondage.

Hello my friend!
We are beginning to dive into the topic of ‘purpose and meaning’ in our lives… it’s a BIG concept and something we will be diving into over and over again, in the next few months.
Today I wanted to share one of my favorite quotes of allll time!
I also mention ‘Logotherapy’ —it means basically that finding a deep purpose within our struggle is the key to getting through our deep struggles with hope, peace and purpose.
If Scripture has ever been used as a weapon against you, I’m so so sorry you had to endure that. Scripture was intended to guide, bless and plant hope deep inside of you.
Quote of the week:
“The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.” Fredrick Buechner
Song of the week:
“Still Rolling Stones” Lauren Daigle // YouTube // Spotify // iTunes //
Inspiring Scripture:
“So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.” Romans 8:28 TPT
Yes, this is the second time I used this scripture in a month(but a different version), what can I say? I'm obsessed. And I forgot until I recorded the episode. ;)
All of the pieces of your life are continuing to build you into the human being you were created to be! And this world needs YOU, and your experience and wisdom!
Much love,
Dani
